The Challenges
The Children’s Museum of Brownsville had a solid online presence with their previous website, which we designed several years ago. It served the museum well, but as technology and user expectations evolved, it was time for a refresh. The site was starting to show its age and lacked some of the newer features that could enhance the visitor experience.
The museum came back to MPC Studios to redesign their website, aiming to incorporate modern elements and make it even easier for families to explore everything the museum has to offer. Our goal was to build on the foundation we had created, adding new features and a fresh look that better serves the community’s needs today.
Our Approach
We approached this project with the same mindset that drives the museum: making learning and discovery easy and fun. Our team focused on designing a website that would be as inviting and easy to use as the museum itself.

Birthday Party Bookings: Knowing how popular the museum is for birthday parties, we developed a system that lets parents book everything online, from picking a date to choosing a theme.
Virtual Exhibit Previews: To give a sneak peek of what’s inside, we added high-quality images and descriptions of the museum’s most popular exhibits.
Field Trip Planning Tools: We added resources specifically for teachers, making it easier to organize school trips to the museum.
Simplified Donation Process: We streamlined the donation process to make it easy for supporters to contribute online.
The Results
